Be a Premium Business or Major Corporate Sponsor with Cape Carolina

Column Adds

Advertising on Cape Carolina is limited to services which support boating community, coastal communities, and coastal leisure and recreation.  The left column will be used for a limited number of small placement adds that benefits boaters, boat enthusiasts, and travelers to the coast.  A special, introductory column add  can be purchased for $400 for the first year.  This will be inserted as part of the left column, below the lighthouse navigation and about the same size.  Cape Carolina will work this add up for you for free or will revise an add you have to fit within the form.  This introductory, sponsor’s rate will help for the growth of Cape Carolina as the website is converted over to an Adobe Dreamweaver format and expanded through various search engines.  For a 12-month period, your add will be rotated on the first and third week of the month to various pages, and text changes will be provided freely on a monthly basis.

Limited Navigation Buttons

On the Navigation Page are useful buttons (links) to nautical resources.  Most of these are provided as free services to boating customers.  However, the lower panels will include two levels of advertising: Premium Business Sponsor(small rectangle button - limited to 18 sponsors) and  Corporate Sponsor (larger rectangle button)

The introductory 2010 rate for Small Business Sponsor is $15 a month or $150 for a total of 12 months if paid in advance for small business. $300 paid in advance for the first year provides a free 6-month, left-column display add within Cape Carolina’s pages (with the benefits of the above Column adds freely provided). The panel button will be a direct link to our dedicated Premium Sponsor’s page about you.  Here there will be link to your website or websites, emails links, direct contact information, and a brief narrative about your business and possibly its relationship with Cape Carolina and Bottom Time, and a direct email link to contact you.  Cape Carolina will work with your text and images or come up with suitable text and images at no additional cost.

The introductory 2010 rate for Corporate Sponsor is $50 a month or $500 for a total of 12 months if paid in advance for a major corporate line.  $800 paid in advance for the first year provides a free 12-month, left-column display add within Cape Carolina’s pages (with the benefits of the above Column adds freely provided). The panel button will be a direct link to your website, and a separate button “About our Sponsors.” is being added to provide a brief narrative of your business contact information, history, philosophy, association with coastal communities, and relationship with Cape Carolina and Bottom Time, and a direct email link to contact you.  If you don't have a website, the button will be linked to your own page displaying only your information on our “About our Sponsors” page, or for a one-time $150 fee Cape Carolina will design this linked page using images that you supply or with photographs taken by the editor.  
   

Remember, whether a Business or Corporate Sponsor, a detailed description of your business, its owners or operators, and the businesses role in the North Carolina boating community will be included in a separate area about each advertiser.  Having either link may also be cause for a feature or article on you or your company in other pages, and anywhere  your name or business is mentioned on the Cape Carolina pages will be a link to your page and additional information about you.  While the Navigation buttons may change on this  page, the business links will be limited to three rows of business sponsors (18 links)  and three rows of corporate links (6 links).

Submissions

Cape Carolina welcomes submission of articles, stories, photographs, and poems that reflect boating and coastal communities.  From special marina events, reviews and recommendations, nautical updates or narratives of your recent or favorite voyage, Kirk Hathaway will personally edit your work and communicate with you as a writer looking always to develop and strengthen your literary talents.  While pay for materials accepted for submissions will be meager or non-existent to begin with, Cape Carolina is dedicated to developing a team of contributors and encouraging their writing in publishing here and recommending other resources.

Editor and Contributor to these pages, Kirk Hathaway has spent more than two decades teaching writing to college students at community colleges and universities in California, Ohio, and North Carolina. Holding a MA in creative writing from San Francisco State University and a Graduate Certificate in Journal from UNC, Hathaway has seen his plays produced on the west coast and in the midwest.
